Portfolio

Four projects, each shown with the engineering behind it: CAD, drawings, prototypes and tests.

Yad Barid

The new generation Arabic teapot

Yad Barid teapot in polished metal on a carved wooden table with tea glasses and mint
Render of Pivot, one of the four handle concepts. It has a pour position and a brew position.

A traditional Arabic teapot, redesigned so the handle stays cool. We developed four handle concepts and measured how warm each handle gets.

Brief
Heat-resistant, traditional in style, innovative, manufacturable and easy to use
Concepts
Element, Detach, Isolate and Pivot
Production routes
Casting, milling, turning and injection moulding

BugSuck

A handheld bug catcher

Exploded line drawing of the seven BugSuck parts, from left to right: endcap, housing with its lid below, chamber, trap, shaft and nozzle
Drawn from the STL export, with every part pulled apart along its real axis. From left: endcap, housing with its lid, chamber, trap, shaft and nozzle.

Modelled in SolidWorks to be 3D printed, and rendered in Blender.

Parts
Seven, all 3D printable
Stage
Prototype 1, revision 3.0
BugSuck render: a white body with a copper cage section and a tapered nozzle

Lubeline

Further development of an existing product

Line drawings of five Lubeline parts: funnel frame, sheet-metal funnel, frame, machine room and an O-ring prototype
Drawn from the STL exports. In reading order: funnel frame (204), sheet-metal funnel (203), frame (201), machine room (202) and a rubber O-ring prototype.

For a company with an existing product, we modelled the frame, the machine room, a sheet-metal funnel and its frame as one SolidWorks assembly. The parts were 3D printed, and the rubber funnel parts were prototyped with 0.5 mm and 1 mm O-rings.

Assembly
Lubeline 02 in SolidWorks: four main parts plus tubing
Prototypes
3D-printed parts and rubber funnel prototypes
Tests
A check-valve test in the machine room, and O-ring tests in April 2026

Omni

Keyboard, trackpad and controller in one

Omni drawn as CAD linework
Omni rendered from the same angle: a dark body with light round keys, a trackpad, a D-pad and grips at both ends
Omni from one camera angle: CAD linework on the left, the render on the right. Drag the seam to compare.

Round keys, a trackpad, a D-pad and game buttons share one compact body. Omni went from sketches to CAD to a laser-cut wooden model you can hold.
